Petit voyage dans le pays des Kangourous.

Salut, voici le journal de bord que j'ai écrit lorsque j'étais en Australie entre Décembre 2004 et Juin 2005. C'était un moment inoubliable que je n'oublirais jamais. Ce journal n'a pas pour but d'être intéressant, je veux dire que je l'ai écrit vraiement sur l'impulsion du moment sans vraiment essayer d'être intéressant. J'espère que vous prendrez plaisir à lire ce journal. Y'a des choses un peu personnelles des fois mais bon, je n'ai rien à cacher, tout a partager. Halala l'Australie, c'était super : que du plaisir. J'en ai un super souvenir, avec mes compagnons de voyage, Ioguix, mon grand frère avec qui j'ai passé la plus grande partie de mon temps, Olivier et AnnSo, vous êtes un couple formidable que j'adore, Medhi tu me feras toujours rire, je t'adore aussi :).

Lundi 5 décembre. Sydney 6h50 du matin.

J'étais à l'iut (alors que je suis à ingénieur 2000 ), dans la salle informatique et j'avais besoin d'une machine pour faire des trucs mais toutes les machines avaient une session ouverte. Finalement je prend la machine de test normalement réservée pour certaines tâches précises : je rentre le login et le mot de passe (je me rendais compte que l'ordi avait un cpu de 4Ghz quand même !!!) et au bout de quelques secondes je me suis apercçu que l'ordi ventilait vachement. Je l'éteins alors par précaution et décide de squatter un autre ordi. je me met à côté de JF (pourtant il est pas à ingénieurs 2000). Il me dit de ne pas fermer les sessions des autres. Je n'en fis qu'à ma tête et ferma la session... Plus tard, je rentrais chez moi, je croisai Kim (une amie d'enfance, dont j'étais amoureux), lui demandai si je pouvais l'accompagner et squatter chez elle. Elle voulait pas lol bref elle accepta tout de même de faire un petit bout de chemin avec moi en prenant une autre ligne de metro. D'autres zamis nous rejoignaient (avec Alain je crois) et ainsi, nous prenions le metro. Je ratais ma station je crois. Et pis je demandai à quelqu'un quel jour on était. Il me répondit Vendredi... Je pris panique...c'était le drame !!! En effet vendredi était le jour de mon départ en Australie et je risquais de manquer l'avion. Je redemandai à une autre personne quel jour on était il me dit dans un premier temps Lundi et me dit ensuite que c'étais une blague et qu'on était bien Vendredi. Alors la panique : mes souvenirs disait que mon avion partait à 13h hors il était 12h sur ma montre bretling. En panique, je décendis du metro eu à peine le temps de dire au revoir à mes amis. Je ne cherchais même pas à prendre le temps de regarder quel ligne de metro prendre. Je suivi mon instinct et commencai à courir, je passais devant une station de la ligne 10 (pourtant on était dans le XX et le premier metro était la 9 ou la 2, ça ne me semblait pas bizzarre). Et ne le pris pas cette ligne car elle allait pas vers chez moi. je passais devant le carrefour dans la nuit (et oui) avec les lampadaires qui éclairait les rues. Et, je passais devant chez sothear (mais merde ça a bien changé sa rue mais mes souvenirs ne me trompait pas) en plus je la voyais qui était là. Je lui demandai vite fait comment aller vers Gambetta et m'indiqua la direction à prendre. J'ai eu le temps de voir qu'elle était avec un gars et j'ai dis " salut JB" sans vraiment savoir si c'était LE JB, bref ça me revins j'étais bien dans la bonne direction, elle m'avait indiqué un racourci et je devais escalader des murs, sauter et tout. j'étais vraiment en panique!!!! j'allais rater mon avion !!! mais pourquoi le matin même mon père ne m'avait il rien dit ? avait il oublié aussi ? M'attend t il à la maison prêt à partir ? et si il avait oublié ? ... j'étais vraiment pas bien, la peur montait en moi ... et, et .... j'entaidais du bruit, un gars apparement fais un peu de bruit pour se casser. Je suis dans mon lit, mes souvenirs reviennent à pas de géant, je suis à Sydney dans l'auberge de jeunesse et je viens juste de faire un vieu cauchemar :D.

Je suis arrivé hier matin à l'aeroport de Sydney. Un peu peur qu'on me fasse chier à la douane pour les achats que j'avais fait : un appareil photo pour moi et l'autre pour medhi. Après un voyage épuisant, j'étais enfin à Sydney et ca me rassurait. J'étais content. Bon je vais écrire en anglais à partir de là ça va m'entrainer.

So I went through the customs, i was a little afraid about what i bought at Hongkong. And because the airplane was a little delayed, i hoped my father's friend (Si Tech = Allan) would not have to wait for a too long time. I had to validate my Working Holliday visa, in the office. It was really fast. I recoved my baggages. Then, the customs looked what i had in my baggages. They saw a bottle of beer, it was not a problem. Medecines, i dont know if she knew what it was. And ... chocolate which was present for my father's friends. She blamed me not to have declared that I had food. Was chocolate food ? :D She also, reproached me not to have mention where i would lived during the few next days. But it was no problem. They did'nt looked at my small bag where i had my camera bought from hong kong. Then i went out of customs area where my father's friend should wait for me. I looked around. I was looking for a sign by a chinese man. Then i saw this man who asked me in chinese "you're from france ?". It was him with his wife (ling).

He took me to the YHA where my friend ioguix and medhi were supposed to be. I didn't see them. I thought that the were sleeping. i asked the officer if my friends were in the yha. She didn't find them on her computer. Hopefully, Allan and ling were there to support me. Then, I got their telephone number which was in my computer. I had to phone their French mobile phone. I just had their voice??? and left Allan's phone number.

Before going to their home, I was subscribing for the WHA and looking for accomodation for the night when I heard "Sun !!!". It was iogui ... and medhi !!!

00002Allan and ling invited us to a chinese restaurant. We drank tea, ate "bao", "siu mai" and other chinese food. It was great and fun. My 2 friends found using chopsticks very painful. :D

we went to a place where rooms were laid out like trains. It was very special. You can see it in the pictures. Look how it is inside !

Flashback : Hongkong 4th of December 2004

Epuisant, fatiguant. C'est les mots que je retiens pour l'instant pour ce voyage. En effet, il s'est passé autant de chose en si peu de temps et en si peu d'heure de sommeil :

  1. Je n'ai pas réusi à dormir dans l'avion lors du voyage Paris - HK
  2. L'escursion dans l'antre de HongKong était bref et épuissante.
  3. J'ai à peine dormi quelques heures (1 ou 2) depuis mon départ.

Photo-titre pour cet album: 2004-12-04 hongkongBref, je suis crevé !!! Néanmoins, je pae l'un des moments les plus inoubliables de ma vie. C'étais mon premier vol en "NAVION" et j'avoue que j'avais un peu les boules avant. Mais dans le NAVION, j'étais tellement crevé que j'ai complètement zappé ma peur. L'avion était agréable. Je n'ai pu faire connaisance avec personne à pars 2-3 mots du genre "c'est le bordel" etc ... Les hotesses étaient serviable (un peu froide des fois mais bon hotesse ça reste un boulot comme un autre) et charmante (certaine). Le décollage et l'atterrissage se sont bien déroulé (ya pire, les parcs d'attraction c'est vachemet plus flippant). Et pis y'vais de quoi s'occuper : film, musique, TV, etc ... Dommage que c'et super dur de dormir assis.

Arrivé à HK, j'ai mis du temps pour me retrouver. L'aéroport est immense. J'ai pris le train et le metro et j'ai eu le droit à un super paysage. c'était pas mal. Par contre, HK c'est un peu bordelique : trop de gens, trop de mouvement . ça m'a crevé. Sur ce, je vais me reposer avant de prendre l'autre avion.

Tuesday 7th December 9:00am

00047I am definitely tired. I have a headache. Why ? Yesterday night, we missed the "barbecue" which took place on the YHA Central. So, ioguix suggested that we go to scubar. When I entered the scubar, it was amazing, there was a lot of people. Everybody were here to only drink, meet people, and have fun. It was cool :D.

I could not imagine before going at scubar that it would be so cool and pleasant to be there. According to ioguix, the scubar was packed every monday.... :D

00090At about midnight, I had drunk too much and tried to come back to the YHA railway by myself. So i walk for about 20minutes and reminded that it was not so long when we arrived. So i turned and went back. When i was back at scubar, i saw ioguix who was going back home... i follow him and tried to catch up with him. i took shots and he saw me.

I'm thinking about one thing. Despite of the fact that i'm in australia, very far from Paris,I don't feel the sensation that I am far from home. When I look at the sky, the city, it is not so différent.

This man wanted us to make a website for him, but i cant tell you more about it. So during his going to bondi, ioguix and me went to the botanical gardens and the museum. I took a lot of shots of paintings.

Tuesday 28th December

So many things have happened since the last time. I've been to Melbourne for one week. I've met my father's friend and their children. We spent Xmas in Sydney.

Meeting with dad's old friends

0002500016My father has a lot of friends and family all around the world. Heasked me to meet all of them : Allan and his family, Mrs Mao (?) and her children suzan and sung. I had already met Allan and co, and suzan's mum tried to contact me. I went for a day, to suzan's home. It was pretty cool i met her mother (my father's friend) and suzan. This meeting was a good opportunity to improve my english. I have learned a lot of vocabulary. She took me to the library; we also watchd dvds, and i could visit the local market place (a big vietnamese community). Now i know what present to give to Suzan the next time we gonna meet : chips or candies :D.

Melbourne

0006600012Because we will not move a lot when i will be at school, guillaume and i decided to go to Melbourne. Mehdi and his friend (pierre) who've just arrived in Australia decided to go to different cities through australia. So we've been to Melbourne for one week.

We took the coach, to go to Melbourne, it was at night but it was pretty hard to sleep. However, it was not very expensive : just 60$ for one way. And we have saved a night at the hostel.

The YHA where we were, was not very far from the city. When walking, it took about 15 mins to reach Melbourne city center. There was not so many people than sydney's but it was alright. In addition, it was cheaper than the other YHA we tried in sydney.

00016Melbourne is a beautiful city, the first day was a very hot day. (about 35 degrees in the afternoon). However, Melbourne is smaller than Sydney, and more quiet. It still has big buildings. We had a beautiful view to the city from the YHA (toit). At Melbourne, we saw lots of trams : in every street, there were trams.

00092At the Melbourne YHA (Metro), we have met people from Singapore: Joseph, Cassey and ... Sally. Sally was so cute and pretty, i was under her charm. By the way, they didn't stay a long time at sydney. I was a little sad. They were very good friendly. It was cool to met them, know what they have done in australia, and have good time with people from others country.

The last day at Melbourne, we was at philip island, we saw for the first time kangourus, koalas and .... penguins !!!! :D

back to sydney

00103Back to Sydney, we slept a lot because we were very tired because of the coach. So we just realised the 24th at midday that it was Xmas ! We though it was the day after and had not planed anything to do at night. So we've been to a bar to eat a rumsteak and drink a little and we went at the opera house and harbour bridge. The next day (Christmas day) we were at Manly beach. But because of the bad weather, they was not many people. I was really disapointed. 0001600015The next day was a little better and we've been to a bbq at the YHA. We had spent good time with patricia, rachel and juta. Patricia and rachel are from England and juta from germany (she works at the YHA). Then we have been at a pub not far from the YHA.

00009Yesterday, we had to pick up Olivier and Anneso at the airport. But, we didn't have any information about their plane (they forgot to send us these). So we waited separetly at different gates and finally, i had the honour to meet them before ioguix :p.

2nd January

New Year eve

0010500106New Year eve at sydney was really amazing. Firstly, I've seen one of the most beautiful fireworks i have ever seen. The first one was at 9 above the opera house. And the second one was at 12 in both the harbour bridge and the opera house. There were so many people that when we arrived at 7 we hardly found a small place. Before coming, we went to the supermarket and a bottle shop to buy something to eat and drink. I had never seen so many people i think(guess?). It was amazing. The fireworks were fantastic. It was a really great show with music and dancing in the street. After the fireworks we could hear in the street music which was coming from bars.

New Year day at bondi beach

0003500023After the new year eve, we slept a little (only 4 or 5 hours) and then we took the bus to go to bondi beach. It was a very sunny day and we got a little tanned. The first time, i haven't seen the skatepark that was very close to the beach. We saw great skaters. We've also seen people surfing. Olivier was so excited. He explained me how he started to surf and made me want to begin surfing. But after the beach, we met two french guys that tell us that their have seen sharks during their trip and that these last months, there were 4 sharks attack on the east coast of Australia. So I was put off.

8th January 2005

00008 This week, I have spent most of my time with Patricia. I like her a lot : i like her presence, talking with her, bothering her, see her, sending and receiving text message ... everything. In addition, she helps me to improve my english. She is really a great person. Why Patricia and not Rachel ? I really can't explain. Maybe I'm in love... I've met her at the summer YHA ... in the kitchen, i was washing my diches, i she was waiting for i dont know what :D. That was our first meeting. We have spend the boxing day together with Rachel( her friend) and other people from the YHA : a bbq had been set up and we went to a pub after this. We have also been to the cinema, to see ... i dont remerber the name of the movie it was a movie with Nathalie Portman. At last, we have been to Darling Harbour and a chinese restaurant ... i really like it and come with her at her home. We often chat by phone text message ... i've try to charm her, but she seems not to be .... :(. Maybe i'm not enough strong, not her kind of man ... etc ... I'll be back ... i'm going to lunch :D ...

i have never been back :D sorry. In fact i didn't have time to write because i got ill, i had started to go to school and i had lots of homework and because i spend all my spare time to read the book that Rachel lent to me : "The curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by Mrk Haddon. It's a story about a boy who try to find out who has killed Wellington. Wellington is the neighbour's dog. He found him dead and killed with a fork in the garden. I've read half of the book ... Im quite proud of me and i want to read more and more in english. In addition, the story start to be very interesting. I think my next book will be Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Ive started to read this book before and it was quite easy to read, not like the one from Stephen King.

With Patricia, it's getting worse : i think i've done to much. I bothered her to much i think by charming her for exemple, even if it was just for fun sometimes for me, it made her very unconfortable and she made me know that. :S Now i feel that she tries to keep a distance between us ... it makes me sad. It's a shame because, i've found a good friend with who i could improve my english and spend good time at the same time. I should try to respect her and not try to see her everytime even if i think that it would be very good for me (for us ?). :S I feel so selfich and silly and naughty. She said that she had forgiven me, but i think that i had destroyed our friendly relationship. Actually, our relationship was so confusing that i didn't know what to think. One night, she asks me to call me, and i ran .... i called her in the second ... and when i asked her why she wanted i called her, she awnsered me "to know how you are" ..... mhhhh. Usually, you call a friend at midnight when you have something important to say.

000170005100039 We have moved, last week ... we now live in a house in front of the beach (Bondi) with 3 others frenchs guys, 2 englishs guys and 3 english girls. I haven't really had time to converse with them because during all the week, i was sick and could stop coughing. I finally saw the doctor who gave me some medecine : antibiotics. I still cough but not as much as before.

00083So ive started to go to school... I learn a lot. Teachers are really great but we have a lot of homework. It's not so bad in fact but i dont have time to read or to go out :D. But the course are really great ... i'm really motivated to have a A at the exam. So that i will have free course to prepare the CAE :D. But i have to work hard .... I'll need luck and to work hard to succeed.

Im at last a vegetarian !!!!! ... i think that in my mind, i dont feel the lack of meat. I'll not eat meat as much as possible. My only goal is to show that every one can be vegetarian despite of the way everybody eat (hungry jack, mcdonald, etc ...).

I need to revise my phrasal verb. I'll try writing as much as possible. :D

00029I've just comm back from the retreat organized by the school. We were in a camp at 2 hours from sydney by coach. It was really cool : we spend good time. I've play basket ball, volley ball ... i've tried the flying fox. It was fun. It was a shame i haven't gptmy guitar for the camp fire (i have to verify the traduction of feux de camps).

00079wednesday, we were at darling harbour to see the fireworks. This time again, fireworks were really beautiful to see. When i was looking at these, i felt i was 15 years younger and dicovered fireworks.... i've never really appreciated fireworks until i've come to sydney. :)

2nd February

it's very bad : i still coughing... so i try to do sports to keep my health. From now, i'll do every morning some pump and run on the edge of the coast. tonight, we were for the second time at Bondi Road : it's a club with lots of .... girls. It's strange because i dont fell the desire to flirt with girls at the moment. I don't know why :S

i've broken my camera !!!! ... what the shame, it was during the retreat and i dont know where i have put the warranty : i have only the bill. Today, i've sent a mail to the shop (in hong kong) where i've bought this telling them if it was possible to send the warranty to me. otherwise, i'll have to pay the fix.

4th February

Ive been to the greenwood at North Sydney with Ioguix, Anneso, Olive and friends of the school. It was really funny, especially at the end when i took pictures of/with girls i didn't known.

Otherwise, i saw patricia today. Unfortunatly, i was not so well : i had only slept 3hours this night and i still coughing .... :S

14th February

My coughing is getting better thanks to Patricia, she bought me "chesty cough" medecines that seems to work well. My exam is getting more and more closer. I have to study hard now but it's not so easy. Well, today, we have been to marubra beach ... it was cool :). We have done a crepe party yesterday night with almost all the guys in the house : leah, guillaume, anneso, olivier, and i, hugo and chepluquoi. we never see the canadians girls. the three sweedish guys who live on the ground floor are vegetarian. one's called Bjorn or something like this. Patricia has a boyfriend :(. i hate the VictorS and germans :p but i'm still confused in fact and don't want to think about it anymore. Guillaume still doesn't have a job ... i hope he will find better than what dov give to him. Congruatulation to Oliv !!!! he has succeed his december session of the FCE. He still in the school anyway and will try to have a better marks. To my minds, i'll try to have a A, i know it's diffucult, but with works and chance, it can be possible. i have bought a guitar :) I still do sport every morning except when it's not sunny. Every day i run on the beach and do pumps ... I have to find a job here after my school.

16 February

Today, i've started to surf, it was very hard to get up on the board. However, i think that with practice i will be able to surf :D. Today the school was fine. Yesterday, i had a little argues with Samuel. In fact i just reminded during the course that Angie, one of our teacher, doesn't explain properly. And he began to be quite furious saying that i didn't like angie ... but it doesnt matter.

20 February

I talked to Patricia few days ago about what i felt and making things clear with her make me fell better. Now i can turn the page more easily. I hope i will see her more "like a good friend".

This WE, we were with the french connection (hihi) to Port Stephen. We got off from bondi beach at 11am and arrive to Nelson bay at about 7pm. We went there by van, and i stood on the back of the van (in the bed) during the first part of the trip. Saturday, was a very sunny day. We unknowly arrived at port stephen coz with thought Port Stephen was a located area... in fact it included a large area and Nelson Bay as well. We had to sleep all in the van during the night because of the thunders and the rain. So it was quit uncomfortable and ioguix and i couldn't use ours hamac. It was a shame. Hopefully, Sunday was also sunny. We started to find out Port Stephen and after 1 hour of driving, we asked a man who told s that Port Stephen was the whole area included Nelson Bay where we was. We then went to a beach called "one mile beach" and surf there... It was really cool but after 1hour of surfing, if falled on my shoulder and it still hurt now. At 2pm, we went back to Nelson Bay where we took a boat to see dolphins :D. after what we came back to sydney ... and it was raining dogs and cats during the coming back. We were very lucky.

21st of February

Today was quite a bad day : My shoulder still hurts me :S, i havent improve my listening test ... and i was really tired because of the WE. Srangely, everybody at school were very sad. I had called mother this morning, and she told me the sad new about my brother ... and she said that he was at the hospital and had been operated of the aendicite. ??? i hope he will get over quickly. So today was a day like everyday : home, school, home but without sport and surfing :S

Sunday 27th February

Almost 3 months that i'm in Australia :). I will never regret my choice. Yeah, i would have been working and got bored in the cold winter if i were in France. But, on top of everything, i think i have succeeded in one thing : i have improve my english and that's why i came here.

2 weeks left before my exam. And i am not stressed. I know that i will have it but i have to keep concentrating. Maybe with work and chance, i can have a B or a A, althought the most important is to pass the exam.

As far as my shoulder is concerned, i felt again Tuesday when i was surfing ... i was so silly. I remained a little painful and i couldn't wait one day more. Now i dont know how long time i will have to wait. I will not do the same mistake, definitly.

Medhi came back to Sydney ! after having travelled all around Australia and New Zealand, he will stay with us 3 weeks. Now he is sleeping on a sofa of the living room. He started to surf and is really better than me and Guillaume :S. He stood up the first time with our board and Olivier's one.

So we are going out more and more often. Thursday, we were at the Greenwood bar, and there were so many girls. However, i can not count how much medhi and me have failed. :) All the same, we had a great moment. Yesterday night was a litle bit more disapointed : we went the beach road and at 10, we tried to go in the city with Hugo and Lars. Eventually we ran around Oxford St and king cross and couldn't find a bar witch was free of charge. Moreover, i was very tired.

Today, i woke up at 1pm, tried to do my homework without success, and in the evening I saw a movie with Caroline, Abbey, Rebecax (bax ?) and 2 of their friend, and oliv, annso and medhi. It was a love story which was called "notebook". At the end, Caroline felt in tears :).

What i expect of the next week ? having fun in the greenwook and beach road, and getting better with my shoulder.

Monday the 7th March

My last weeks probably in the house. I will try to stay at Bondi Beach because i want to surf. Indeed, i dont have surf enough because of my shoulder. I'm really desapointed. i wish my shoulder got better this week. However, my shoulder will not stop me to have fun ...

First of all, i wanna talk about my FCE. I have sit the speaking exam on Wednesday. It was not so bad but not so good as well. In fact, i raelly don't know how much i will have : A, B or C ? only god and the examiner know. However, i will do my best for the last parts of the exam. So Thursday will be the listening part, and Saturday the other parts (Use of English, Writing and Reading). On Friday, a lunch will be organised at Bondi Beach : Teachers and students of the FCE and CAE will be present. A great moment to celebrate the end of the course and to say good bye to our teachers, Angie, Suzan, Jane and Bill (Bill was our new teacher who replace Suzan who was on hollyday with her husband).

Let's talk about my shoulder : i still can not surf. That make me angry because i don't know if i will stay at bondi a long time. I hope so anyway.

This week, we went out with the sweedish guys on Saturday. We was suppose to go to the GreenWood but it was raining when we was about to go. Stephy (a friend of the school) was a litlle disapointed because we said that we would be there with Hugo ;). Anyway we went to the darling harbourg on Saturday. As the first time, they were completely drunk. And Stefi joins us. But, i seemed that Hugo didn't really like her.

I have met an asian girl at school. Her name is Sacki. I will never remember when we were in the classroom singing Tears in heaven and the first time i talk to her. I must admit that i am a little shy and it is not easy to talk to her these last days. But tomorow, i will try to invite her to go to the cinema, i promise.

Our house is about to move a lot. The canadians girls leaved us. All the Sweedish are about to leave, and some english girls as well.

So, what the futur will be ? I wish it was great, i wish i were metting lots of new friends. The school will finish soon. Medhi will probably come back in France. Guillaume may go to Cairns. As far as Olivier and AnnSo are concerned, they will probably do the east coast of Australia with their van. And me ? :) I still dont know. However, what i have live until now, was really great. I will never forget this trip and i hope these next months will be as great as the last ones.

Wenesday 16 March

These last days was good and a little bid bad in the same time. i will started by the good news.

Last week was really good. It was the last week at school, it was the last time with friends from the school, and the end of the exam. I have sat the listening on thursday. It was in the city, and we go there with the school. It was funny coz every body seem to be so joyful. It was the firstime i saw student singing and dancing before a exam. I was really relax too. Maybe because I felt that i was well prepared. However, the listerning was not so easy ... but i dont know how much i will have. I hope i will have a good mark.

After the listerning, my french and Sweedish friends had gone to the Greenwood. It was funny and really funny. Suprisingly, i met there Saki and discovered that she had already a boyfriend. So i was a little disapointed. I was really drunk that night and it was really fun.

I really want to thanks them because their are reaally great and had taught me a lot.

Saturday, was the big day : we had to sit 3 parts of the exam : the reading, the writing and the use of English part. The use of English was quite hard. However, i think that i will pass this FCE. The exam took place not far from Patricia and Rachel home.

Medhi left us on satuday morning, he was going back to France. I hope he had really enjoyed to stay with us.

00121Saturday night we went to coogee beach with all the students. 00010Olivier and I came with AnneSo, ioguix, hugo and Lars by van. We drank a lot a ate a BBQ just in front of the beach. i talk with people from the school (or not) that i was not used to : Elisabeth, Simone, etc .. 00051And i have to say that the policemen in Australia are very cool. I was completly drunk, singing "Wonderwall" with irish guys. Then they stop singing, i was still singing and after a while, i realise that 2 policemen were behind me. Everybody laugh and after that i suggest them to take a picture with them. after the BBQ i went to the Coogee Bay Hotel to dance and drank and say good bye to every body. After that, i was really drunk, we went back home by van and i fall on the sofa.

00032Since then, nothing : i stayed at bondi beach, went to the beach , swam. Yesterday (this afteroon) i restart to surf and i was really bad coz i hurt a guy. My board knocks his head and he was blooding a lot. I. was a little cold after that. We went to the cinema last night, Olivier, Anneso, hugo and Lars saw Hitch and ioguix and i saw house of the ??.

So today, the Sweedish guys will leave us. Anneso and Olivier had already left their room and are sleeping in the van. And ioguix is planning to leave sydney in 2 or 3 weeks. So i have to find a new home and a job as well as soon as possible.

Sunday 20th March

I have done absolutly nothing this week. It's incredible ... I'll try to change thing those next days. The weather were not with us these last day. I have heard that in France they had gone to the summer on 1 week... incredible. from 0 to 20 degrees on one week. When i think that these last day it was only 20 degrees here in Sydney. Nothing wrong.

Anneso and Olivier have left the house on Friday. But they will come back soon. They are going to do the beaches on the north of Sydney : Palm beach, Manly beach ....etc and come back to Sydney next week.

We're going to have the interet soon in the house. It's a shame we are going to leave soon.

I've seen Patricia yesterday. It was nice to see her again. Her boyfriend, Victor, is at Melbourne for weeks. And she's going to meet him for 5 nights. I have invited her to a italian restaurant. It was quit expensive : i have to be careful with the money spend.

Today i surfed with ioguix and for the first time i stood up on the board :D

Sunday 3rd April

2 weeks I havent write ... and so many things happened ...

0002900030First, the weather is getting better. Today for example is a very hot day. 27°C and no clouds, no wind ... the beach is crouded. But no waves today :S

Olivier and AnnSo cameback and after having stayed a week with us, they have gone with Aurélien and Catherine, they friend from france.

Aurélien had broken one of the fin of the board. I had paid a man to fix it.... and i went to get the board for 70$A.

Before this incident, i've surf a lot : twice a day, even if it was raining :). Now i can stand on the board and it is really great :).

I have decided to leave Bondi and to travel. With Guillaume first, he will go to India after 2 or 3 weeks with me. As far as i am concerned, i will still travelling according to the money i will have. Why not finding a job during the trip ?

00004In the house, there is a lot of coming and departure : Kate and will who took the room of Annso and Oliver had already gone, they stayed only 2 weeks. Moreover, the canadians who were in the sweedish guys house will leave on Tuesday (Claire has already left). The canadians guy is really funny : he is always drunk and one night he came with a girl at home, and entered in our room telling us that he would "fuck her". He did :)

Finally, maybe because i have no job yet, that there is nothing to do in Bondi apart from surfing.

Saturday 16th April

wooooooo .... These two last week were simply impredictible. No I am not in Byron Bay with Guillaume, AnneSo and Olivier. No I am not traveling in the East Cost. No Guillaume is not going to India. Let's see it.

So, i was going to travel with Guillaume trough the East coast. But we took to much time to set up our trip. What will we do with our board ? (Guillaume was afraid with the fins). What will we do together and when will we split ? We were suppose to leave last Sunday, but Guillaume was working as well and we hadn't book anything. So we decided to postpone our departure to Wednesday and to Thursday.

Where am I ? i'm still in Bondi Beach, at home, ... I will sleep on the sofa tonight, yesterday i was sleeping in the City at the railway YHA. In fact, on Tuesday, we were setting up our departure to the blue mountain and planning to join AnnSo and Olivier in Byron bay. Then a man call me. It was about the job in Adelaid i applied few weeks ago. I had had already one phone interview with them a week before. But i didn't thought they would take me on because i couldn't properly understand what they were saying the first time they were to much echo and they were speaking through the phone speaker. But, he said that we would have another phone interview with two other guys of the company the next day at 3:30pm. What would i do if they took me on ? I thought i would follow what i wanted to do at first : have a work experience in Australia. When they told me that it was ok :), i couldn't believe it. :D I was so happy and sad to leave Guillaume.

So we booked together few hours later to go to the blue mountain for 2 days. After what, Guillaume would go to Byron Bay Friday night just after the blue mountain. As far as I am concern, i booked my flight to Adelaid on Sunday. It would let me time, if we didn't sell the board to buy a traver cover and maybe to surf in Adelaid. Guillaume have left some luggage to Patricia and Rachel appartment. And we went to the blue mountain the two next day.

0000300004So we left the room, I planed to let all my book (that were very heavy) to Allan house : i wasn't sure if Patricia would be here again when i came back in Sydney. I let, my guitar, the board, and all my luggage to Xavier and Katarina for 2 days. We left the house at 6:45am. It was the last time Guillaume saw the house. Snif.

00047The two days in the blue mountain were very good. We first did mountain bike. It was really fun and the scenary was incredible. The weather was perfect to discover the blue mountain. Then we did riking, and saw the Three Sister (scenic). Then at night we went with Simon (the driver), to a restaurant bar not to far from the katomba train station (very cheap and good). He gave us some pocket lights and we went to echo point by walk and riked by night a little bit. It's was very cool but after that, we were really tired. After a long night, at the YHA, Guillaume and I went to the echo point, take down the 900 stairs, go to Leura forest to see the water falls, then we came back to the scenic area. We took back another way than the one we took the day before. And we came back to echo point and to the YHA where we had a rest and came back to Sydney at 7:30.

I had booked for one night at the railway YHA for the night of Friday. I planned to come back the next day (today) to prepare my luggage and sell the surfboard or buy a cover to travel with it, leave some stuff to allan and take the taxi the next morning after a night in the sofa.

00117Guillaume had forgotten to leave his shoes with his luggages at Patricia appt. So when we arrived at Sydney, we went to the YHA to take a shower, and then we went to Patricia and Rachel apt. We went then to a pub not far from central where Rachel, Patricia, Guillaume and I had a drink together. 00121Afterwards, at 10, Guillaume had to take his coach. I was a little bit sad, coz it was the last time i saw him in Australia. Snif.... :'(.

00001So after a night at the YHA, I came back here at Bondi beach. I wrote some post card to every body. I called my parents as well. And I try to sell the board without success. So I bought a cover (A$90) and now (19:00pm) i'm waiting for Allan.

I feel quite lonely. I dont know how it would be. It's like a new start. I'm leaving Sydney and Bondi Beach that became my new homes. :( And above all, i miss my friends : Guillaume, Olivier, AnnSo, Patricia, etc ...

00006I am in the Airport now, waiting for my flight. It seems that i will not have any trouble with my surfboard and my guitar. It seems to be ok. I call the taxi this morning at 6:10, it ask for a large one for my surfboard. I was afraid to be late. But no worries : it took only few minutes for the taxi to arrive and i was and the boarding gate at 7 (my flight is at 9. :) I'm looking forward to arriving at Adelaid.

Yesterday, i saw Allan and Lin and they told me to keep in touch with them, and call them when i will arrive at Adelaid.

I tried to connect to the internet from here but ... i have to pay o ... :)

Monday 18th April

I am in Adelaid now :). These days were really impredictible. I have started to work as it was planned. But ... but, where to start from ? ....

00038So, I arrived yesterday at Adelaid airport with my guitar, ioguix's and my surfboard, a suitcase and a handbag. In a plan i was really excited because the beachs seemed to be very nice .. but I couldn't see any surfboard. From the airport, i took a taxi to the YHA. I booked for 2 nights. I didn't really have time to rest when Lin send me a txt message that said : "Hi Sun, have you landed in Adelaide safely ? call our homephone now your grandpa cousin is looking for you". I then thought ... what ? my grandpa cousin ?? I was really surprised. So i call her. She told me that my grand pa cousin son was living in adelaide and tried to pick me up at the airport without success. Incredible ... I couldn't believe it :p . She sent me his number and i phoned him. Then we cancelled the booking at the YHA and pick me in his house. He has a lovely house not to far from the city (20 30mins by bus) and a lovely wife and two lovely young children (Ethan and Ellan, 9 and 11 years old). We went to he restaurant where i met my grandpa cousin. I found that he was really funny.

The day after, my uncle show me how to get to work. We took two bus to arrive at sturt street. The company is a small one and remind me Netpepper (my first company) i am very pleased to work in this kind of company again i think i will enjoy it. So the staff is Adrien and David who are developing and managing the network. Daniel who will be the sytem adminitrator, Deb who manage some administratif stuff and Andrew who is maintaining a software. As far as I am concerned, i will work on a reporting application witch will use Eclipe's plugin framework.

Thursday 21st April, 22h29

Almost one week I have started the job. It's really cool not to speak French :). I start to reuse my dictionary like when i met Patricia. I use learn a lot of new word. My work is ok ... at the begining it was quite hard. Maybe because it has been a long time I haven't work. But now i begin to enjoy it. I enjoy the staff : David, Adrian, Daniel, Deb and Andrew are very cool. I take think easier now, i think i wanted to do to much at first. Now i try to take it easy : i have nothing to loose. If i dont fit to them, it doesn't matter.

The family where i live is ok too. My uncle and my aunt try to do their best to make things easy. They are lovely :).

So i start to enjoy Adelaide. Even if at the begining i was a little afraid about what would happen. The city sounded quite dark, without nothing. When i walked in the street after the work, there were almost nobody. I was thinking "what's that fucking city!! their is nobody there ! it's dead". But I went walk through the city center and it not so quiet. And after discussing with my colleague, maybe there are some things interreting in adelaide. Next time i will visit a city, i will take time to apreciate it. It takes time to get rid with new things.

Summer ?

29 degrees today and tomorow... It's unbelievible. We are almost at the end of the Automne and it's still very hot.

Meeting my cousins

Adelaide is a family city. I mean, it's not like bondi where there are only young people : it's the opposite. Everybody are married !!!! haha.

00040For example, i have meet my cousins : Hang and his wife, his friend Ben and his wife, and Julie. We have eaten in a Japonese Restaurant, drank beer, been to the casino, drank beer, and to Ben's house, played the playstation (a soccer game) and celebrated Hang's wife birthday. And they seem so young. It was very cool although i was not on the top of my health. Daniel aswell is married ... Everybody are married. haha. Poor julie (my third cousin), it must be strange to see so many people around her married.

Cleland park and the Kanguru

00046This weekend, we were to Cleland park. It was the first time for the children as well (not for Elaine but she was very young the last time she got there). So we met Kangurus, koalas, Dingoo, and others animals of Australia. It was great.

At work ....

00010At work, it's ok :). It's really nice to work in a small company. I'm not as well paid as i would have been if i have stayed in France but it's ok : the most important is my work experience and it is a good opportunity to improve my english as well. I didn't have properly started my project : from now i was playing with Eclipe plugin, Jasperreportviewers. I think that i will really start to developpe the plugin tomorow if David is here.

At home ...

0005100052At home, it's ok too. I live with a real lovely family. My uncle is a very cool dad :), he is very friendly. He doesn't take his head and like living in not too busy place. He is happy that i'm here because i can finish his bottle of wine :p. He never let me pay anything, i dont really know what to do, .. cause i have money and i can afford to take part in the everyday living of the house. Anyway, will give them before i leave some money and a present in their house. 0005500056My aunt is wonderful : she is like my second mother but not so stuborn : she respects my choice to be vegetarian and cook everyday very well. She do every mother's task : washing clothes etc ... She's very friendly and lovely. Elaine, she is very pretty and smart. She reads a lot. Spend long time inside her books. She doesn't like fish because it stinks. I hope she will be more understand by everybody, i think that sometimes she gets very upset because her parents still consider her like a child. I think she has grown up and is very smart when she says something (sometimes :) ). Ethan, haha, this boy is very naughty, he likes eating (c'est un gourmand), he always stuck me, spy all my mouvements :). But he still very nice, he is young and have a naughty behavior. He touchs everything, and bother her sister and her mother a lot. :). To conclude, i'm happy to live with them :)

Wednesday 4th May

I still have one more month in Australia. My trip is comming to its end. 5 months have already gone ... such a long time i haven't seen my family, my home, my friends, etc ... I've done so many things these last months : having fun at Sydney in the scubar, meeting my parents friends, going to Melbourne, meeting Kangurus, Koalas and penguins. Meeting friends like Joseph, Cassis, Sally, Rachel and Patricia. I will never forget how was the school, with very nice teachers and very good friends i met there. The house where we lived and stay so much time with AnnSo, Olivier, Guillaume, Mehdi, Alister, Leah, Lars, Hugo, Caroline, Bax?, Abbey, Joe, Katarina, Xav, Anna, Will, Kate, Anna, and the others i may have forgotten. Hoooo bondi beach, my first surf sessions will be burn on my memory. I don't forget the Greenwood bar where we spent time with people from our school and our house. And now i am in Adelaide, with my relative, a lovely family :). I have my first job in foreign country. Mhhhh, the future sounds good.

I'm waiting for my result of the First certificate. 2 days left ..., i really don't know how i can not pass it !!!! It's almost impossible. However, the doubt still there. I'm not sure what to do if i have it or if i dont have it. If i have it i will probably jump every where and shouted as loud as i can. :D

On Saturday, i've been playing bowling with Julie, Alley, Chealey and other friends of Han my cousin. After what we went to have a coffee. It's very strange because they stay only with asian people. I'm not use to that. But i can understand, it's like my uncles in France, or other guys i know : they only stay with asian people and that's all. Anyway i spend good time with them. The day after, we went to YumCha and we went to Rundle street to have a coffee. We met Daniel (a friend of Julie) and his wife and his daughter. Yes, almost all of Julie's friends are either married or engaged.

I have done a big part of my project at work. I have resolved the main problem i could have. Now, i am playing with it, adding some small features and testing it. We are also moving the office from downstair to upstair : so these days were part time moving and part time coding. The more I work in the company, the more skills I collect :D

I still dont know what to do for my last days in Australia. I want to spend few days in byron bay and go to Sydney for a couple of days before coming back to France. But time is so short.

I was just reading what i had written this last month. And i realised that i had not written anything about my friends at school (Not sure i have to verify), so because i will not forget them here is a list : first my classmates.

Sunday 8th May

Although it was 27 degrees some days, it's getting colder and colder specialy on night. However, it's still very sunny. I think it's the good time to go back to France :D. I still have 3 weeks in Australia i think i will urvive :D.

Well done ! Enfin, je suis diplomé !!!!

I've passed my First Certificate in English !!!! I'm so happy, and it was so a suspence when I went to the cambridge university website to see my result. When I saw B on the screen, i was surprise and happy. I didn't really though that i would have a B but anyway it's done ! I have finished my studies now ... i'm free. I'm happy to have choose Australia for my English : now i have my degree and a work experience : It's all i wanted to have when i planned to come here. I've done what I had to do. When i will be back to France, i will have the sensation of well done. I must admit that i was lucky to find the job here. Who should i thank ? The luck ? God ? I prefered to thank the destini and the lucky even if sometime i have bad news and result. Although, my life is great, i'm not poor, i done lots of cool thing and that make me well.

BBQ at Adelaide

00037Yesterday, i was at the North East of Adelaide for a BBQ organised by Daniel. He invited some of his russian friends, Adrien, his wife and i. It was great, i've brought my guitar and played a little bit at the end. It was pretty hard to get there because they had changed the location at the last minute and there was not many bus on Saturday.

00045Today i have fixed the surf board : it was very sunny so the better it was to fix it. Yesterday, somemone called me for the surfboard, but she was at Bondi Beach. So i probably will call her back when i'll be back to Sydney.

Sunday 22th May

Star in the Church. Dancing with the dark force

I can hear again the sound ou the music ... I've just waken up, after a very nice evening with Julie and her friends ... Yesterday morning i havent planned anything and so sent Julie a text message to ask her what she was doing. She suggested to go watching starwars with some friend. I really wanted to watch the movie but not alone :p ... that's why i didnt go when the movie came out. So i was really excited as lots of starwars fanatics. She picked me up, and watched the movie. It was really good. As good as i expected. I think that as soon as I will be in France, i will see the 2 trilogies in one time. So after the movie we went to the plaza to have a drink. It was really hard to understand everybody. We talked about the movie and most of us seemed to like it. Shealey, Daniel, and Alley join us and we were in the Church, a club in the city. When we arrived, i felt, not really comfortable but after a while and few drinks i really started to enjoy it. It was like the time we went to the Greenwood, apart from I didn't try to flirt with everygirl :). Maybe i didn't wanted to show this part of me to my consin haha. But i was really good. I will come back next time :D.

Last surf session ...

0001100028So yes, i start to enjoy Adelaide, one week before my departure :p. I knew that that would happen. I'm so predictible. Last week i for the long WE, on Monday, I went to taste Australian wine with my uncle. He took me to somewhere where there are lots of winerie where you can tast the wine. It was very nice, i bought 2 bottle of wine and a bottle of liqueur. The few days before, i went to Middleton beach to surf. It was only 2 hours by coach from the city (1 hour by car). Middleton its not somewhere you have to visit : there is nothing there ... apart from the beach :D. It was really nice to surf again. But, the water was very cold : as cold as ice. The first 15minutes of each session was good because, the water was so cold that it burned my skin. But after, i started to get cold and i couldn't really enjoy the surfing as much as i would expect. What's more, there was too many seaweed. But it was nice to have this break. I slept in a very nice bread and breakfast with a fantastic restaurant. Sure i will come back if I work in Adelaide next year.

Coming back ?

Maybe yes maybe not. Now, it depends on the visa, i can have. If i can have a visa to work here, it will come back for sure :D. Adrien and David seem to like my work and the job is very interesting. I learn a lot.

So i will leave Adelaide next week on Sunday morning. I really wanted to go back and see Patricia again. But, it will be very hard to see her : she is leaving Sydney tomorow to help his brother in HongKong. But i'm looking for coming back to Sydney all the same.

23h:43 ... the swiming pool

00025Ohhhh i think it was the best WE i've spend here in Adelaide ... Yesterday was very nice with the club, the movie etc ... and today it was so relax at the swimming pool. In France we are not used to have spa and steam in the swimming pool. ... And it was so relax ... haaaa i would have stay hours in the spa ... it was so good. I could easily get asleep so it was relax. After the swiming pool we went with Han, Alley, Daniel and Julie to the restaurant. It was really nice. I think i will sleep like a baby this night.

Ive just come back from the Badminton with Julie. She's not too bad, she's quite good actually. Long time i have not played badminton.... 7years in fact. I was still in highschool, before i met Cat ...

My last days in Adelaide, snif. Finally, I enjoy the city of churches. If only I could come back for one year ... Unfortunatly, i dont think that my company will take me. It's a visa problem : there is 2 kind of visa that can be suitable to me : the first one is by sponsoring. It would take 3 or 4 months to have it, but the minimum salary is A$50,000 and i dont think that my company would paid me this amount. The second one is pernanent visas ... but there are quit expensive and takes 6 months minimum and usually 1 year to get it. Moreover, i dont have the IELTS so i can apply and finally dont have it and lost my money. So i dont want to take the risk.

So finally, i will know tomorow ... Deb had booked a restaurant for my last day :). I'll try to enjoy my last days.

Well, Im in Sydney at Allan's house. Im quite sad, having left who were my new family. Snif. I wrote them a letter and let them some money. But, my aunty called me and they seemed to be really desapointed because of it. She also said that Ethan and Elaine were very sad. That's made me sad. I gave my number account to my aunty and wish they will not take what i did as bad. Tomorow is a another day. I hope i will feel better : i'm caughing again ... grrrr i hate that.

With my company, nothing is done : we didnt find a suitable visa yet. But i hope we will find one. However, i will work with them from France for few months

00046Les au-revoir are always hard to live. First with Guillaume, Olivier, AnneSo. I spent so much time with them that now they are like my family. And now ... my uncle aunty, Elaine Ethan and Julie.

Im in Allan house now, i will stay at their home for few days before coming back to France. They have been very nice with me since i arrived :D. They are the first people i met in Australia ... and the lasts.

Tomorow i will see the FooFighters :D at Sydney (Fox Studio).

I'm in France, i'm back home.

Foo Fighters

00006So i went to see the Foo fighters on Monday, it was really good and not hard to find the place : i just had to follow every fans of the band. They were suppose to start their concert at 4pm. So i arrived at about 2pm. It was really pack Every body was pushing everyone to be on the front. And the more we were approching from the concert time, the more everybody were pushing. Then, the concert was delayed : start at 6:30pm. At about 5pm, I really couldn't stand on the front, so i decided to stand at the back. The concert was good. They just played 2 or 3 new songs and their most famous hits : Everlong, Monkey Wrench, All my life, Hero, etc ...

Chinese Garden and dinner at Suz home

0002400057The next day, I was in the City : i wanted to see the chinese garden before i leave Sydney. It was good. After that i went to the harbour bridge : i'd never walked on it before !!! I had to do it at least one time :). After that, i went to dinner to Suz and Sung home. I said good bye to my them. They were very nice.

Birthday

00061My birthday was my last day in Sydney. What a surprise when Olivier told me that they had change their plan and finally came back the 1st June. Because Allan had planned to invite me to the restaurant, he asked me to come back at 6pm at his house. And because Olivier and AnneSo were arriving at 4:40pm, i just saw them 40mins. But it was very nice to see them :). They told me about how good were their trip and that maybe in January, everybody who have been to Australia during this summer had to be at Amsterdam to meet again :). 00063When i came back to Allan's home, i got my birthday cake ... I was really happy to be there with them. After the restaurant, i though that they were really nice, as if i was their relative. So for that i really want to thank them.

00083So i'm back ... and i'm seek. The 22 hours didn't make my caugh better ... and i had a headack and a sorethroat during the flight. So i went to see the doctor. It was so strange to speak French at the airport. "Bonjour". Hahaha ... :)

End of a trip i will never forget

Yeah, it was really great. Now i'm in Paris, and I already miss Australia. My family, and friends overthere, the friends I met there..... thank you !!!! It was really good.
